If you've torn through the first four books of the Zodiac Academy series by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti, you're probably in need of a support group... or at least a good bottle of stardust wine. These books are packed with drama, danger, fae magic, and enough slow-burn tension to power the whole Kingdom of Solaria.

🌒 General Discussion Questions
Let’s talk about the world, the drama, and the characters we can’t stop thinking about:

Which twin do you relate to more—Tory or Darcy? Are you more reckless fire or cautious water?

• I think I'm a bit of both but if I had to choose, I could relate to Darcy more. The cautious sister, quiet until you get to know her, and totally into older guys. The professor/student relationship taboo.. I'M HERE FOR IT. Honestly, can you deny yourself when it comes to gorgeous Lance Orion?

Be honest: what are your feelings about the Heirs? Which one is the most redeemable (or swoon-worthy)?

• These fucking assholes. Currently, love to hate them though I know the relationships will change throughout the book. Reading past book 4, I've learned to tolerate Max and Caleb, absolutely wanted to throw the book dealing with Seth, and I'm mildly in love with Darius and his tortured soul. 
• Love Max's obsession with Geraldine, though I still find him to be pretty whiny and annoying when it comes to the Vega twins.
• Caleb - ugh this boy. He's just hot, but that's really it.
• Seth - have you ever wanted to throw a book because of how whiny and annoying a character got? More specifically with his obsession with Darcy and how upset he got when he caught her and Lance in the cave. I could not think of a more annoying character than him in book 4. Like... he was so irrelevant idk why he got so many pages??? Anyway... clearly still annoyed and upset over him.
• Darius... oh Darius. You tortured beautiful soul. Torn between hating and loving Tory, you truly have the shittiest luck so far BUT I still love you because I know you're good deep down.

Bully romance trope: Love it or loathe it? Did any moments cross a line for you?

• I usually don't mind a bully romance trope.. but my god they were so cruel to the twins. There were so many that it made my wonder how they could even forgive them.. but that's the Virgo in me I think, never forgive and forget and all that. But obviously the near drowning for Tory and the chopping off of Darcy's hair. 

If you were dropped into Zodiac Academy, which house would you belong to—Air, Water, Earth, or Fire?

• I'd probably be in Caleb's house. Love the whole green vibes he's got going on, and the fact that I've recently become a plant mom so I think it's fitting.

Who do you trust the least right now? (And yes, it’s totally okay if it’s someone you're also secretly in love with.)

• I could live without Seth. He's just so fucking annoying right now and I am most definitely not secretly in love with him.

Which magical ability would you most want to develop if you were a Fae?

• Selfishly I want all of them. But I think I'd like Max's Siren abilities, to draw out people's feelings and influence them. Would be pretty sly power to use out here in the real world.

Let’s talk slow burn. Which ship are you rooting for? Which one makes you scream at the page?

• The slow burn between Darcy and Lance... ugh my heart couldn't take it! Anyone else found it hot when they started texting and Lance was flirting with Darcy? Shirtless in bed and all that - that forbidden romance will never get old!

What’s been the biggest “OMG” moment so far? (Spoiler alert)

• That Darius and Tory are Star-Crossed lovers. I mean... it's so heart-breaking but also, can you blame the girl? To have a near death experience at the hands of someone you're supposed to love forever? Her denying their bond FIT her character's decision. I know people are upset over her denying it but also, fuck Darius dumb ass for treating her like shit every chance he got. How he treated her regardless of how he felt, I just don't have words.

Do you think the twins are truly destined for greatness—or are they being played?

• I'm excited to see what they can accomplish once they've learned to control their powers and reached their full potentials. Growing up in a tough environment in the mortal world gives them compassion that the Fae world don't have. Like Darcy standing up for Diego when he got bullied? I think the Fae world needs a bit more of that from someone in a high powered position.
